The old city of Bourg-en-Bresse

The parks and gardens of Bourg-en-Bresse

The hike can also be the occasion to practice some activities in the middle of nature : canyoning, via ferrata or the Sentier du Vertige” with Nature Aventure or Lézard des Bois but also geological walks with AGEK association.
More playful than sportive, many activities invite to the tour : go across a vegetal labyrinth between corn crops, go through aquatic gardins, visit the bird park, meet the animals at Touroparc or follow the river flow in the Caves of Cerdon.
Beyond the Via Rhôna the go across the south of the department of the Ain, many itineraries are signposted around Bourg-en-Bresse. Actually, the destination is really appreciated by cyclists : it even hosted several times a Tour de France stopover !
The Green way
It’s a circuit in proper way, the Green way join the center of Bourg-en-Bresse to the forest with full security, passing by the Royal monastery of Brou and the theme park of Bouvent : the perfect occasion to stop by the lake or to golf. Another green way starts in Attignat, next to Bourg-en-Bresse, and enables you to ride a bike or roller skate up to Jayat, through Bresse landscapes. On the way, you can have a stop at The Plaine Tonique in Montrevel-en-Bresse, a wide nature and leisure park with a nautical centre and a lake.

The roman Churches circuit

The circuit is about 30 kilometers long goes through the church of Buellas to the Vandeins, with a stop-over in Saint-Rémy, Saint-André sur Vieux Jonc or Montracol.
