Bourg-en-Bresse awakes
All year round, enjoy life !
Bourg-en-Bresse and its surroundings are enlivened by many festivals: music in summertime with the Estivals de Brou, Tuesdays with the Organ, Thursdays at the bandstand and also "les Temps Chauds", and don't miss the 'Floralies Internationales' or International Flower Show, or more unusual events: a circus festival in the spring, a biennial show for Marionettes and a very original biennial of urban arts which combines contemporary art and gastronomy with panache.
When it comes to theatre the program is rich and varied, mixing dance, tragedy and comedy, music and even puppet shows. Also not to be forgotten are the summer visits of the old city which bring to life key events of the past through a series of historical reconstructions in the centre of the old town.

Sport is not forgotten either, with numerous sport and activity centres open to all, but also national and international events: the Tennis Cup, Tour de l'Ain cycle race and Jumping International.
